70 Faces - An Informal Torah Class At Chabad.

The first text we’ll try to make our way through will be the first volumes of the Rebbe’s Likkutei Sichot. These talks were given in the ‘50s and weave the weekly Parsha and Jewish holidays with Talmud, Kabbalah and stories. Great for thinking Jews, from the seasoned to beginners.

We’ll be studying from the Hebrew translation (from the original Yiddish) of this work, so a side benefit is honing your holy tongue.

The class is called 70 Faces, for the famous Midrashic quote “there are 70 faces to the Torah,” which emphasizes that while there is only one ultimate Truth, there are 70 lenses from which it can be seen.
